Custom Pave Diamond Pinky Ring – A Jewelry Refashioning Story
This stunning custom pinky ring was inspired by a designer pavé diamond piece—but made uniquely personal.
My client came to me with a beautiful collection of diamond jewelry she no longer wore. It included an old necklace, several rings, and a few pieces of men’s jewelry that once belonged to her husband. Rather than let them sit unused, she was ready to transform them into something meaningful she could enjoy every day.
We started with a vision: a bold yet elegant pinky ring using her existing diamonds. After discussing the design details, I created a CAD (computer-aided design) image to bring our concept to life. This gave her a clear idea of what the final custom ring would look like. She loved the design but requested one small change—a smooth, high-polished bottom instead of the originally carved style. With that adjustment made, we were ready for production.
For the centerpiece, we used three princess-cut diamonds, accented by a pavé-set halo of round diamonds. The result? A timeless, sparkling pinky ring that not only reflects her personal style but also carries the sentimental value of her original pieces.
