One of the greatest joys of being a custom jeweler is helping clients mark life’s most meaningful milestones with jewelry that tells their story. Recently, a longtime customer—someone I’ve had the pleasure of working with for over 15 years—came to me with a very special request. She and her husband were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, and she wanted a custom sterling silver medallion to honor this incredible occasion.
Because we’ve worked together for so long, I already had a sense of her style and what would feel personal to her. I created two unique medallion designs, each featuring the number 50 to highlight this golden milestone. On the back, we engraved her wedding date along with the years 1975–2025. This type of custom engraving not only adds meaning in the present, but it also ensures that future generations will know the story behind the piece.
When she saw the sketches, she immediately connected with design option #2. Four weeks later, her custom anniversary medallion was complete—and she loved it!
